“गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णुः गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः।
गुरुः साक्षात् परं ब्रह्म तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः॥”

The 5th of September holds a very special significance in our lives. This day is dedicated to our teachers. A teacher is not just someone who teaches in a classroom, but someone who shows us the path of life, instills values, and teaches us the difference between right and wrong.

In my own life too, I remain grateful to all the teachers who have guided me. They did not merely impart bookish knowledge, but in the truest sense, taught me the lessons of life.

When we look at the role of education in society today, it becomes even clearer that a good teacher is the one who shapes the future. Just as a gardener nurtures plants and turns them into branches laden with fruits and flowers, in the same way, a teacher nurtures children with knowledge and values, shaping them into worthy citizens.

Celebrating the birthday of Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Ji as Teacher’s Day is a way of paying tribute to his ideals. He never considered education to be limited to jobs or examinations, but regarded it as the very foundation of life.

I firmly believe that today we need such teachers who not only teach academics but also give the right perspective to live life:

  • Teachers who awaken a sense of patriotism in students.

  • Teachers who make them responsible towards society.

  • Teachers who sow the seeds of confidence and morality within them.

On this occasion, I bow to all my teachers, mentors, and every person who has inspired me to learn and move forward. I also salute all the teachers in our city, who work tirelessly day and night to shape the future generations.

“आचार्यात् पादमादत्ते पादं शिष्यः स्वमेधया।

पादं सब्रह्मचारिभ्यः पादं कालक्रमेण च॥”

(Means - A student acquires one-fourth of knowledge from the teacher, one-fourth through his own intelligence, one-fourth from his fellow students, and the remaining one-fourth with the passage of time.)

our guides. On this Teacher’s Day, I would like to say that we should all respect our teachers and try to follow the path they have shown us.

With heartfelt salutations to all teachers.
