Born on 25 September 1972 in Desuri village (Pali District) of Rajasthan, Narendra Lalchand Mehta's childhood was full of struggle. When Narendra was about 7 years old, his father died untimely. Being the eldest among 4 siblings, all the responsibility fell on his tiny shoulders.
In 1977, Mr. Narendra Mehta Ji arrived in Bhayander from Marwar with his parents, elder brother Narendra, two younger sisters, and Vinod. They settled near a grocery shop on Balaram Paril Road (B.P. Road) in Bhayander East. Tragedy struck in 1979 when father Shri Lalchandji passed away, leaving their courageous mother to manage both the shop and the children's education.

Mr. Narendra Mehta became the Mayor in 2007.
Inaugurating sports grounds
On 26 January 2009, sports grounds and gardens were inaugurated at 16 places.
Started Bus Services
Young and hardworking former Mayor Mehtaji, who understands everyone's problems, got a 50% grant approved from JRUC in 2009 to start bus service on a new route and started buses for Borivali and Thane.
Became the MLA
In 2014 Narendra Mehta became the MLA from Mira Bhayandar constituency.
Sanctioned the Metro project
2014-2019 planned, initiated and sanctioned the Metro project of Mira Bhayander.
Flyover project
2014-2019 planned, initiated and sanctioned the Flyover project of Mira Bhayander.
Surya Dam Yojana
2014-2019 Planned, initiated and sanctioned Surya dam Yojana for 24 hours water supply for Mira Bhayander.
