Today is the seventh day of Navratri, and on this day we worship Maa Kaalratri. The form of Maa Kaalratri is as fierce and terrifying as it is compassionate and protective. She wears a garland of demon skulls around her neck, her complexion is dark, her hair is disheveled, and she has three eyes that illuminate the entire universe. She appears like dense black clouds, yet her heart always remains dedicated to the welfare of her devotees.
Maa Kaalratri is the destroyer of fear. She grants courage to her devotees in times of difficulty and protects them from all kinds of dangers. Her form teaches us that no matter how deep the darkness is, light and guidance can always emerge from it. This is her greatest quality—courage, fearlessness, and protection.
If the people of Mira-Bhayandar and the whole of India adopt these qualities of Maa Kaalratri in their lives, progress will be possible in every field. Just as Maa Kaalratri protects her devotees despite her fearsome appearance, in the same way, we too must fulfill our responsibilities towards our families and society. We should not fear difficulties but face them with courage to secure the future of our loved ones and community.
I firmly believe that if the people of India imbibe the qualities of Maa Kaalratri, our nation will progress at an even faster pace. With courage and fearlessness, we can protect our families, bring unity to society, and take the country forward. If the citizens of Mira-Bhayandar consider this form of Maa Kaalratri as their ideal and incorporate it into their lives, then surely every lane, every neighborhood, and every family here will march on the path of progress.
The festival of Navratri gives us this very message—that Shakti (divine power) is not only meant to be worshiped but to be embraced and lived in our daily lives. May the blessings of Maa Kaalratri always remain upon us, and may we walk on the path shown by her to strengthen our families, our society, and our nation—this is my heartfelt prayer.
